Stolen Kisses

Stolen Kisses

(Rich Mullins)

Pleasure's a treasure no matter the price as long as you don't measure it against what you sacrificed.
Minute by minute you've got to learn to adjust. Just believe whatever's convenient..whatever satisfies your momentary lust.
Time goes by...and values fade away. You change your beliefs like it's currency. You think it's just the price that you pay.
But just look at the way you're livin' - how did you get in such a mess?
The devil steals your nickel and dime convictions - with nothin' more than penny theft.
And, you live out your life with a cheapness you achieve by never counting the cost.
Judas ended up with thirty silver pieces. What did you gain for what you lost? Going out of business.
Busted again. Stolen kisses...Betraying a friend. Going out of business. Busted again. Stolen kisses...
It's free and it's easy, but, it's been short-changing you. It appears to be pleasing, and, it will until you give it pursuit.
It's the same old story you got tired of awfully fast. Disappointment and boredome ...they're the only parts of it that last!
And, you know how it goes. And, you knew when it went.
You had to sell yourself poor - 'cause it always takes more than what you've got left to spend!
