The Finish Line

I see him there! He's diggin' in for a jump on time.
His muscles tense, there's only one thing on his mind.
All the seconds are ticking, they're giving him the sign
For the race to start and see it to the finish line.
And, every movement has to count.
He's thrown aside every weight that would slow him down.
See the gains he's making, the distance he's left behind
As he's headed off for the finish line.

Lord, I just can't stay in place!

I'm runnin' in Your strength and I know You'll bring me to that end
to which You've called me in Your grace!

The end is near! There ain't no time to look aside.
Some things are hard to let go of.
Still, I know it's time to throw 'em off and get to the finish line.
